ATLANTA, Ga. -- Two members of the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team competed on Saturday during day two of the Emory Spring Break Classic on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Senior Alison McDonough (Halifax, Mass.) and junior Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) each qualified for the finals of the 100-meter hurdles. McDonough posted a preliminary time of 14.92 seconds, while Sands recorded a time of 15.46 seconds.

In the finals, McDonough placed second with a career-best time of 14.46 seconds while Sands checked in with a time of 15.88 seconds to finish sixth in the event.

The Bears finished ninth in the team standings with 33 points.
