Alison McDonough Named MASCAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Alison McDonough has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

McDonough placed first in the 60-meter hurdles with a finals time of 9.40 seconds this past weekend at the Emmanuel Indoor Opener. The Halifax, Massachusetts product also finished 11th in the long jump (4.66m/15’3.5”) and 28th in the 200-meter dash (28.20) at the season-opening meet.

McDonough, who qualified for the Division III New England Championships in the 60-meter hurdles, currently ranks second in New England in the event and 19th in all of Division III.

The BSU women's indoor track & Field team will compete on Saturday (5:00 PM) at the Joe Donahue Games hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Center.
