Women's Indoor Track & Field Competes at Wheaton Invitational

NORTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team competed at the non-scoring Wheaton Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, 9.75 inches (4.82m), while senior Sheila O'Sullivan (Westwood, Mass.) finished fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 39 feet, 9.75 inches (12.13m).

Sophomore Melina Baker (Attleboro, Mass.) and freshman Emily Guyon (Hopedale, Mass.) also placed fourth in their respective events. Baker completed the one-mile run in a time of 6:15.06, while Guyon posted a time of 2:39.26 in the 800-meter run.

O'Sullivan also finished fifth in the shot put (33'3.25"/10.14m). Other fifth place performances belonged to junior Katherine Cicchetti (Plymouth, Mass.) in the mile (6:23.66) and classmate Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) in the high jump (4'10.25"/1.48m).

Sophomore Kristin Leone (Weymouth, Mass.) placed sixth in both the 60-meter hurdles (9.94) and the long jump (15'7"/4.75m). Junior Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) added a sixth place showing in the 200-meter dash (27.49), while freshman Patricia Healion (Medford, Mass.) also finished sixth in the high jump (4'7.75"/1.42m).

Next Saturday, the Bears will compete at the Tufts Cupid Challenge.
