BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman Jayci Andrews has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete & Rookie of the Week.

Andrews set a new MASCAC mark in the 400-meter dash (56.66) while also capturing the conference individual title in the long jump (17'8.75"/5.40m) at the MASCAC Championships held this past weekend at UMass Dartmouth. The Plymouth, Massachusetts product also ran a leg on the Bears' MASCAC record-breaking 4x400-meter relay (4:02.16) and the school record-setting 4x100-meter relay (48.61).

Back in March, Andrews qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships and placed 11th in the 400-meter dash.

Along with the 4x100 record, Andrews also holds BSU outdoor marks in the 400 (57.68) as well as indoor marks in the 400 (57.14) and the 4x400 (3:59.24).
