Women's Outdoor Track & Field Competes at NEICAAA Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Several members of the Bridgewater State University women's track & field team competed during day one of the 2016 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Southern Connecticut State University on Friday.

Freshman Jayci Andrews (Plymouth, Mass.) was the top placewinner for the Bears as she finished 11th in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.16 seconds. Junior Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) check in at 28th in the 400 as she equaled her season-best time of 59.25 seconds.

Senior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) and sophomore Kristin Leone (Weymouth, Mass.) finished 19th and 26th, respectively, in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles. Krevosky posted a season-best time of 15.04 seconds, while Leone recorded a time of 15.63 seconds.

Senior Emily Ducharme (North Attleboro, Mass.) and junior Traci Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) also competed for the Bears on Friday. Ducharme was 23rd in the 10,000-meter run (45:32.71), while Perry finished 27th in the preliminaries of the 200-meter dash (26.23).

The NEICAAA Championship meet will conclude on Saturday.
