WORCESTER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) finished in fourth place in the heptathlon during the second and final day of the Holy Cross Multi-Event Meet on Thursday.

Richner recorded a score of 4,317 points as she finished behind three Division I heptathletes at the meet.

During today's events, Richner tallied 551 points in the long jump (16'3.75"/4.97m), 526 points in the 800-meter run (2:44.19) and 470 points in the javelin (97'4"/29.66m).

On Wednesday, Richner posted a score of 830 points in the high jump (5'6"/1.68m), 701 points in the 200-meter dash (27.13), 694 points in the 100-meter hurdles (16.17) and 545 points in the shot put (33'6.75"/10.23m).

Richner currently ranks ninth in all of Division III in the heptathlon.
