Krysta Zbikowski Named MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Krysta Zbikowski has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Zbikowski captured top honors in the 10,000-meter run at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic this past weekend as she posted a time of 40:50.38. The Ashburnham, Massachusetts native helped the Bears capture the meet title with a team score of 143 points.

Zbikowski currently has the fifth best time in New England in the 10,000.

In four seasons with the Bears' track & field teams, Zbikowski captured MASCAC indoor titles in the 3,000-meter run (2014) and the 5,000-meter run (2014, 2105). She also won the MASCAC cross country championship in 2013.

Next weekend, the BSU track & field teams compete at the Westfield State Invitational.
