Women's Track & Field Competes at Tufts Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team competed at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday.

Junior Ariele Krevosky (Oxford, Mass.) finished third in the 60-meter hurdles (9.42), fifth in the triple jump (33'9") and seventh in the high jump (5'0"). Krevosky currently ranks 27th in all of Division III in the hurdles.

Sophomore Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) tied for fifth in the high jump (5'0") and placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (9.88).

Junior Danielle Poto (North Andover, Mass.) and sophomore Amanda Lane (Abington, Mass.) finished sixth in the 5000-meter run (19:34.58) and 400-meter dash (1:01.99), respectively.

Sophomore Sabrina Rizzo (Peabody, Mass.) added a ninth place performance in the 600-meter run (1:46.73), while freshman Tori O'Dea (South Dennis, Mass.) also placed ninth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.79).

The Bears placed 12th in the team standings with 27.5 points. Stonehill College won the team title with 139.5 points followed by UMass Lowell (108 pts.) and host Tufts University (74 pts.) in the team standings.

The indoor season continues for the Bears next Saturday when they compete at the MIT Art Farnham Invitational.
