BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Tori O'Dea has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

O'Dea placed third in the 100-meter hurdles at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic with a time of 16.85 seconds. The South Dennis, Massachusetts product helped the Bears capture the meet title with a team score of 143 points.

A three-sport athlete, O'Dea also competes on the Bears' indoor track & field team as well as the field hockey squad.

Next weekend, the BSU track & field teams compete at the Westfield State Invitational.
