Ariele Krevosky Named MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Ariele Krevosky has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Oxford, Massachusetts, Krevosky garnered All-NEICAAA honors and tied the Bears' program mark in the 100-meter hurdles at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships this past weekend at MIT.

Krevosky placed seventh in the event with a finals time of 15.08 seconds. She also posted a time of 14.80 seconds in the preliminaries to equal the school record set by Terry Rush in 1982.

Krevosky also ran a leg on the Bears' record-tying 4x100-meter relay squad which posted a time of 49.82 seconds. The foursome equaled the record set by teammate Ashley Aldred (Saugus, Mass.) along with Laura McHughCaitlin DiLorenzo and Michelle Atkins in 2013.

Krevosky earned MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honors three times during the winter indoor season. During the indoor campaign, she broke the school 60-meter hurdles mark with a time of 9.22 seconds at the Division III New England Championships.

In upcoming action, qualifying members of the BSU outdoor track & field teams will compete at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Springfield College on Thursday and Friday.
