SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Qualifying members of the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track and field team competed at the ECAC Division III Championships held at Springfield College on Thursday and Friday.

Melissa Chiasson finished 22nd in the hammer throw with a toss of 140 feet, three inches (42.75 meters).

The 4x400 relay team of Michelle Atkins, Caitlin DiLorenzo, Becca Geldmacher and Laura McHugh placed 19th with a time of 4:06.36.

McHugh also finished 38th in the 200-meter dash with time of 26.27 seconds.

The Bears' relay team of Atkins, DiLorenzo, McHugh and Ariele Krevosky added a 21st place showing in the 4x100 with a time of 50.49 seconds.

Rowan University captured the team title with 63 points, followed by Wheaton College (57 pts.) and Tufts Universityt (52 pts.).  Bridgewater State did not score in the meet.
