Rouillard Highlights Four All-New England Performances

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Molly Rouillard (Dartmouth, Mass.)set the BSU outdoor record in the 10,000-meter run to highlight four All-New England performances at the New England Division III Championships hosted by MIT.

Bridgewater posted a 13th place finish in the team standings with 20 points.  The top eight finishers in each event earned All-New England honors.

Rouillard placed second in the 10,000 with a time of 36:19.51 as she eclipsed the previous school mark of 36:21.98 set by Debbie Mueller in 1982. Rouillard is currently ranked 14th nationally in the event. The top 22 runners advance to the NCAA Division III Championships.

Senior Carrie Robitaille (Ludlow, Mass.) posted a score of 4,094 points to place second in the heptathlon.  In the heptathlon events, Robitaille finished first in the long jump (16'5.00"), second in the high jump (5'3.00"), third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.02), sixth in the 800-meter run (2:31.62), seventh in the 200-meter dash (28.32), eighth in the javelin (85'1.00") and 11th in the shot put (26'8.25").

Senior Co Davis (Mansfield, Mass.) added a third place showing in the 400-meter dash as she recorded a time of 58.98 seconds.  Classmate Sarah Lagasse (Rehoboth, Mass.) took home eighth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as she crossed the finish line in 11:14.19.
