SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Select members of the Bridgewater State College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field team have competed at the ECAC Championships this afternoon. Senior Rachael Smith (Somerset, MA) led the effort with a third place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.11.

Smith, who qualified provisionally for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships last week at the NEICAAA meet, will wait to find out if her time of 1:02.29 is good enough to compete next week at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh along with teammate Nicole Mauro (Mashpee, MA).

Senior Chris Clark (Pittsfield, MA) ended his season registering 12th in the shot put (45-01) while classmate Nilton Gomes (Fall River, MA) took home 21st in the 400 (:50.69).

The women finished in 35th place with three total points while the men did not place. Moraivan won the both the Men’s and the Women’s (57 points) Outdoor ECAC Championships which were hosted by Springfield College.
