BOSTON, Mass. --- Freshman Brittany
Paige (Winthrop, MA) placed seventh (31-09.50) in shot put
to pace the women’s outdoor track and field team at the Husky
Spring Open this past Saturday. The non-scoring meet held at
Solomon Track in Dedham featured athletes from around New England
in all collegiate divisions along with other participating track
clubs.
Louise Cornerford (Billerica, MA) finished
seventh in the 400 meter dash while Jessica
Eidinger (Sutton, MA) ran to a 16th place finish in the
800. Freshman Deborah Solorzano (Woburn, MA) and
senior Courtney Bubier (Marlborough, MA) also
placed 16th and 17th in the 1500 meter run.
In the field, Paige threw a 16th finish in the hammer throw.
The Bears are back in action this Saturday at the Tufts
Invitational. The first gun will sound at noon.
