BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Four members of the Bridgewater State University women's tennis team have been named to the 2023 Little East Conference (LEC) Fall All-Academic Team which was announced today.
To earn a spot on the LEC Fall All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.
Receiving the honor for the Bears are graduate student Mackenzie Silveira (Middletown, R.I.); senior Allison Carter (Raynham, Mass.), junior Meghan Lotti (Stoneham, Mass.) and sophomore Hannah Higgins (Rockland, Mass.)
The Little East Conference began honoring an all-academic team during the 2007-08 academic year. While the majority of Bridgewater State varsity squads are members of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), four BSU teams call the Little East home. Women’s tennis competes in the Little East in the fall, men's and women's swimming & diving in the winter, and men’s tennis in the spring.
