Women's Tennis Falls to Endicott, 9-0

BEVERLY, Mass. -- The Endicott women's tennis team defeated Bridgewater State University on Tuesday evening by a 9-0 score in non-conference action at the South Campus Courts.

Freshmen Reilly Fitzgibbons (Killingworth, Conn.) and Alexi Losano (Saugus, Mass.) posted an 8-1 decision at No. 3 doubles.

Sophomore Maxine Bergstein (Hingham, Mass.) and junior Mackenzie Rhodes (Rye, N.H.) picked up an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, while freshmen Margot Andreasen (Portland, Maine) and Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) played well in a tightly-contested 8-4 win at No. 2.

In singles action, Fitzgibbons went on to register a 6-0, 6-0 decision at the No. 2 position before Bergstein closed out the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 5 slot.

Losano highlighted and also ended the remaining matchups in singles play with a gritty 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 10-4 victory over Hayler Anderson (San Antonio, Texas).

Endicott (2-1) hosts Salve Regina University on Thursday, September 10 in a CCC matchup at 3:30 p.m. Bridgewater State (0-2) travels to Plymouth State University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
