SHREWSBURY, Mass. -- Bridgewater State took all six singles matches and all three doubles contests to defeat Worcester State, 9-0, in Little East Conference women's tennis action this afternoon at Shrewsbury High.

With the win the Bears improve to 7-1 overall and they remain unbeaten in LEC play at 4-0 while the Lancers fall to 3-6 and 0-4 in the conference standings.

Sophomore Jenna Williamson (Ludlow, Mass.) paired with junior Ashley Pereira (Assonet, Mass.) for the 8-4 win at first doubles while senior Bridget Murphy (Mattapoiset, Mass.) and third-year Julie Kraby (Wrentham, Mass.) teamed for the 8-1 point at second doubles. BSU would then take third doubles with freshman teammates Melissa Eramo (Rowley, Mass.) and Melissa Flynn (Stoneham, Mass.) earning the 8-2 triumph.
