Simard Captures Three-Meter Title, Breaks School & Meet Record at LEC Championships

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.) captured the conference title and broke here own school and meet record in the three-meter diving competition on Thursday at the Little East Swimming & Diving Championships held at the Babson College Morse Pool.

Simard posted an 11-dive score of 463.85 points to win the event as she eclipsed her previous standard of 440.40 points set last season.

BSU freshman Ava Anderson (Lynn, Mass.) placed third in the three-meter diving competition with a personal best 11-dive score of 339.30 points.

The four-day Little East Swimming & Diving Championships will continue on Friday with preliminaries getting underway at 10:00 AM. The remainder of the championship meet will take place at the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley.
