Women's Swimming & Diving Drops 170-115 Decision to Wheaton

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team hosted Wheaton College on Saturday afternoon at the Moriarty Pool.

The visiting Lyons (3-1) posted a 170-115 win over the Bears (1-2).

Sophomore Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.) swept the diving events to lead the way for Bridgewater State. Simard posted a score of 259.65 points on the one-meter board and a season-best 278.20 points on the three-meter.

The BSU relay squad featuring senior Jenna Maxim (Lakeville, Mass.) and juniors Brynn Murray (Chelmsford, Mass.), Jenna Fiebiger (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Brianna Matte (Cumberland, R.I.) placed second in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:48.65.

The BSU swimming and diving teams are back in action next Friday evening as the Bears entertain Roger Williams University at five o'clock.
