Women’s Swimming & Diving Splits Tri-Meet

NORTON, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team competed in a tri-meet hosted by Wheaton College on Saturday afternoon at Balfour Natatorium.

The Bears (3-3) posted a 190-65 victory over Gordon College and dropped a 186-97 decision to the host Lyons.

Graduate student Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.) captured top honors on the one-meter diving board with a score of 204.83 points. Wilson also placed second on the three-meter plank with a score of 175.35 points.

Junior Olivia Ranck (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.98, and added a third-place performance in the 100 butterfly (1:09.13).

Sophomore Brynn Murray (Chelmsford, Mass.) placed third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.55 seconds.

Next Saturday afternoon, the Bears will travel to Roger Williams University for a one o'clock meet with the Hawks.
