Women's Swimming & Diving Posts 122-96 Win over UMass Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team posted a 122-96 victory over host UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday evening at the Tripp Athletic Center.

The visiting Bears won six events as they improved to 3-0 in dual meet competition on the young season.

Senior Haley Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) and junior Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.) each won two individual events and one relay to lead the way for Bridgewater State.

Nolan captured top honors in both the 1,000 freestyle (11:52.82) and 100 backstroke (1:04.83) events, while Coogan placed first in the 200 freestyle (2:09.68) and 100 freestyle (58.17).

Nolan, Coogan, senior Danielle Souza (Mansfield, Mass.) and junior Megan Bonney (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) recorded a winning time of 4:04.08 in the 400 freestyle relay to close out the meet.

Freshman Selin Marino (East Greenwich, R.I.) added a victory in the 500 freestyle (5:49.59).

In upcoming action, the Bears return to UMass Dartmouth on Saturday for the Louise Goodrum Invitational.
