WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team split a tri-meet with Regis College and host Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday.
The Bears (1-2) edged Regis, 132-128, and dropped a 140-120 decision to Eastern Connecticut.
Bridgewater picked up event wins from junior Haley Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) and sophomore Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.). Nolan placed first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:31.92, while Coogan captured top honors in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:45.87.
The Bears also hosted the diving events at the Mary Jo Moriarty Pool. Junior Kate Karl-Morin (Salem, Mass.) placed second on the one-meter board with a score of 114.55 points.
In upcoming action, the BSU swimming & diving teams entertain UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday evening at six.
