Women's Swimming & Diving Falls to Division II Bentley, 145-99

WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team competed against Division II Bentley University on Wednesday evening at the Dana Center Pool.

Host Bentley won the meet by a score of 145-99 as the Falcons wrapped up the dual meet portion of their schedule with a record of 10-1. The visiting Bears fall to 1-10 with the setback.

Senior Sarah Biltcliffe (Fall River, Mass.) finished second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:45.37, while sophomore Laura Gaudette (Fall River, Mass.) posted a score of 163.25 points to place second in the one-meter diving competition.

Senior Mikaela Ross (Andover, Mass.), Biltcliffe, junior Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.) and sophomore Caroline Hill (Bridgewater, Mass.) opened the meet with a third place showing in the 200 medley relay (2:04.57).

Biltcliffe also finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.29), while freshman Adi Tobias (North Attleboro, Mass.) placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:09.94).

Freshman Jane Meyrick (Scituate, Mass.) and sophomore Nicole Moneghan (Lincoln, R.I.) rounded out the Bridgewater's top placewinners, Meyrick finished third in the 200 butterfly (2:55.91), while Moneghan placed third in the 500 freestyle (5:57.98).

Junior Rebecca Foster (Billerica, Mass.), sophomore Danielle Souza (Mansfield, Mass.), Hill and senior Shae Aiguier (Braintree, Mass.) capped off the meet with a third place showing in the 200 freestyle relay (1:53.44).

The Bears close out the dual meet portion of the schedule on Saturday as the Bears host a tri-meet with Husson University and Regis College.
