Women's Swimming & Diving Falls to UMass Dartmouth, 187.5-89.5

DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team outscored visiting Bridgewater State University, 187.5-89.5, in a dual meet on Tuesday evening at the Tripp Athletic Center.

The Bears (0-4) placed second in seven individual events led by junior Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.). Grant finished second in both the 200 freestyle (2:12.24) and the 100 butterfly (1:06.61).

Seniors Shae Aiguier (Braintree, Mass.) and Sarah Biltcliffe (Fall River, Mass.), sophomores Nicole Moneghan (Lincoln, R.I.) and Danielle Souza (Mansfield, Mass.), and freshman Adi Tobias (North Attleboro, Mass.) also earned second place points for the Bears. Aiguier in the 100 freestyle (1:01.72), Biltcliffe in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.75), Moneghan in the 200 butterfly (2:36.61), Souza in the 500 freestyle (6:10.01) and Tobias in the 100 backstroke (1:08.19).

The BSU swimming & diving teams return to action on Saturday when they compete at the  Louise Goodrum Invitational hosted by UMass.
