Women's Swimming & Diving Takes On Boston College

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team competed against Division I Boston College on Friday evening at the Moriarty Pool.

Sophomore Nicole Moneghan (Lincoln, R.I.) and freshman Adi Tobias (North Attleboro, Mass.) were the top placewinners for the Bears. Moneghan placed third in the 500 freestyle (6:19.55), while Tobias finished third in the 50 backstroke (32.63).

Senior Mikaela Ross (Andover, Mass.) finished just behind Tobias in the 50 backstroke with a time of 32.69 seconds. 

Senior Sarah Biltcliffe (Fall River, Mass.) placed fourth in both the 50 breaststroke (34.74) and 100 breaststroke (1:15.36) events.

Junior Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.) added a fourth place showing in the 100 butterfly (1:05.26).

Boston College won the meet by a score of 179-84.

The Bears (0-1) are off until Saturday, October 29th when they travel to Regis College to take on the Pride at 11:00 AM.
