Moneghan Leads Women's Swimming & Diving Against Clark

WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team dropped a 139-93 decision to host Clark University on Saturday afternoon at Kneller Pool.

Freshman Nicole Moneghan (Lincoln, R.I.) paced the visiting Bears with a pair of wins. Moneghan grabbed top honors in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:55.72. She was also the first to touch the wall in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:26.57.

Sophomore Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.) and freshman Emma Cardarelli (Waltham, Mass.) also picked up events wins for the visitors. Grant placed first in the 200 freestyle (2:09.21), while Cardarelli was the top performer in the 500 freestyle (6:00.51).

The Bears slip to 2-4 in dual meet action on the season, while the host Cougars improve to 2-0.

Bridgewater is off until next Saturday afternoon as the Bears host Gordon College at 2:00 PM.
