Women's Swimming & Diving Falls to Wheaton, 175-92

NORTON, Mass. -- The Bridgwater State University women's swimming & diving team dropped a 175-92 decision to Wheaton College on Wednesday night at the Balfour Natatorium.

 Sophomore Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.) was the Bears' lone event winner as she captured top honors in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:04.54. Grant also placed third in the 50 butterfly (28.65).

Freshman Nicole Moneghan (Lincoln, R.I.) added a second place showing in the 200 freestyle (2:07.96) and a third place performance in the 500 freestyle (5:45.78).

Senior Michaela Pereira (Rehoboth, Mass.) finished third in the 50 breaststroke (35.69), while sophomore Shae Aiguier (Braintree, Mass.) placed third in the 50 freestyle (28.16).

The Bears (2-3) are back in the pool on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Clark University for a two o'clock meet with the Cougars.
