WALTHAM, Mass. -- Senior diver Elizabeth Lamarre (Dartmouth, Mass.) eclipsed the program mark on the one-meter board to lead the Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team against Brandeis University on Friday evening.
Brandeis won the meet by a score of 160-125 as the Judges improved to 2-10 in dual meet competition on the season. The visiting Bears dropped to 4-5 with the setback.
Lamarre posted an 11-dive score of 383.75 points to place first on the one-meter board as she broke former Bear and current diving coach Jennifer Jackson's previous mark of 361.85 points set back in 2008.
Fellow senior Sarah Rechtiene (Southbury, Conn.) added a victory in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:37.38.
Junior Svetlana Loranger (East Freetown, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' individual winners. Loranger was the first to touch the wall in the 100 individual medley as she posted a time of 1:10.44.
The Bears are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Keene State College to take on the Owls at one.
