NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team competed at the non-scoring Louise Goodrum Invitational hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday.
Sophomore Sarah Biltcliffe (Fall River, Mass.) placed second in both the 50 breaststroke (33.88) and the 100 breaststroke (1:14.59) to lead Bridgewater State. Biltcliffe also swam a leg on the Bears' second place 200 medley relay squad (2:01.02) along with senior Sarah Rechtiene (Southbury, Conn.), sophomore Mikaela Ross (Andover, mass.) and freshman Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.).
Rechtiene also finished second in the 1,650 freestyle (20:37.25), while Grant was the second to touch the wall in the 50 butterfly (29.95).
Senior Kristen Carey (East Taunton, Mass.) posted a time of 2:12.40 to finish second in the 200 freestyle.
The Bears are off until next Saturday afternoon (Nov. 15) when they host Clark University at two.
