BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Sarah Biltcliffe has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women’s Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Biltcliffe won the 50-yard breaststroke event in a pair of meets to help the BSU women’s swimming & diving team post a 3-0 dual meet record last week.  The Bears posted a 150-109 win over Elms College and capped off the week with a double dual meet sweep over Little East foes Plymouth State University (143-128) and Rhode Island College (168-68).

A native of Fall River, Massachusetts, Biltcliffe clocked a time of 33.53 seconds to capture the 50-yard breaststroke in the double dual meet with the Panthers and Anchorwomen.  She also won the same race in the win over Elms, touching the wall at 37.25 seconds, and swam a leg of the winning 200 medley relay (2:17.82).

In upcoming action, Biltcliffe and her teammates will travel to Westfield State University on Sunday to take on the Owls at one.
