Three Divers Qualify for NEISDA Championships at BSU "Last Gasp" Open

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – At the diving portion of the Bridgewater State University "Last Gasp" Open Invitational, three student-athletes qualified for the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships.

BSU sophomore Brooke Pacheco (Bristol, R.I.) posted a score of 189.44 points to qualify on the three-meter board.  Pacheco also placed second on the one-meter board with 189.55 points.

Colby-Sawyer College freshman Mikayla Riley (Billerica, Mass.) placed first out of four divers on the one-meter board with a NEISDA qualifying score of 193.05 points.

On the men's side, Bridgewater State freshman Brian Sheehan (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) placed first out of a field of three divers on the one-meter plank with a score of 175.45 points.  Sheehan will compete at the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday and will need to record a score of at least 170 points on the one-meter with a degree of difficulty of 11.2 to qualify for the NEISDA Championships.

Colby-Sawyer sophomore Zach Sullivan (Tewksbury, Mass.) finished second on the one-meter board with a NEISDA qualifying score of 174.35 points.

The BSU "Last Gasp" Open Invitational continues on Saturday afternoon at two with the swimming portion of the meet.
