Women's Swim Team in 16th Place at NEISDA Championships

Day Two Results

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -- The Bridgewater State College women's swimming & diving team is in 16th place in a 22-team field after the second day of action at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vermont.

The Bears have tallied 73 points over the first two days of events. Keene State is in first place with 666 points followed by Bentley University with 642 and Eastern Connecticut State University with 487..

Two BSC swimmers and a relay team were in Saturday evening's finals.

Freshman Bridget Hasson (Milton, MA) placed 12th in the 50 butterfly with a time of 29.30 seconds.  Fellow freshman Rhiannon White (Falmouth, MA) posted a time of 5:04.81 to finish in 13th place in the 400 individual medley.

The 200 medley relay team of White, Hasson, juniors Mary Burns (Billerica, MA) and Jennifer Bechtold (Palmer, MA) placed 18th in the event with a time of 2:07.67.

The championship meet will conclude on Sunday.
