BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman goalkeeper Logan Levesque has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Levesque recorded back-to-back shutouts in her first two collegiate starts to help lead the Bears to a perfect 2-0 week. The Bristol, R.I. made two saves in her collegiate debut, a 5-0 shutout victory over Suffolk University. She also turned aside four shots in a 1-0 shutout win against Lesley University.

Levesque is the Bears' first MASCAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week since Alana Vincent earned the honor back on October 17th of 2016.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 2-1-1 on the young season. The Bears entertain Salve Regina University on Tuesday night at seven o'clock.
