Alana Vincent Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman forward Alana Vincent has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

A native of Taunton, Massachusetts, Vincent netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season in a 2-0 shutout victory over Fitchburg State University this past weekend as the Bears moved into a first place tie in the MASCAC standings.

Through 12 games, Vincent has five goals and ten points. She is currently tied for third in the MASCAC in goals, tied for fifth in scoring and leads the conference in shots with 51.

The BSU women's soccer team is presently 5-3-4 on the season and unbeaten in MASCAC play with a 4-0-1 conference mark. The Bears travel to Keene State College on Wednesday evening for a six o'clock non-conference game with the Owls.
