BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman forward Courtney Pepin has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week.

In the Bears’ only game, Pepin tallied a goal and an assist for three points in a 7-0 MASCAC shutout victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy this past Saturday.

Through 13 games this season, Pepin has recorded six goals and four assists for 16 points.  The Uxbridge, Massachusetts native leads the team in assists and is one of just three players on the squad to play and start all 13 games.

Pepin is presently tied for fifth in the MASCAC in assists and is tied for seventh in goals.  She also ranks eighth in the conference in scoring.

The BSU women’s soccer team is currently 5-8 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. The Bears, who are in fifth place in the MASCAC standings, travel to Keene State College on Wednesday evening for a 6:30 non-conference game with the Owls.
