BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University freshman forward Courtney Pepin has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week.

A native of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Pepin tallied a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-1 MASCAC win on the road over Fitchburg State University last week.

Through 12 games this season, Pepin has recorded five goals and three assists for 13 points.  She leads the team in assists and is one of just three players on the squad to play and start all 12 games.

Pepin presently ranks seventh in the MASCAC in both goals and points, and is tied for eighth in assists.

The BSU women’s soccer team is currently 4-8 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. The Bears, who are tied for fifth place in the MASCAC standings, entertain Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Saturday at noon.
