LeBel, Pepin Named to All-MASCAC Women's Soccer Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior defender Allison LeBel and freshman midfielder Courtney Pepin have been selected to the 2014 All-MASCAC Women's Soccer Team.

LeBel was voted to the All-MASCAC First Team by the league's head coaches, while Pepin is a second team selection.

A native of Millis, Massachusetts, LeBel has appeared in 16 games and made 15 starts on the Bears' backline.  She has a goal and an assist to her credit and has anchored a defensive unit that has produced two shutouts.

Pepin is the only member of the team to start all 18 games this season.  The Uxbridge, Massachusetts product currently has seven goals and four assists for 18 points.  She ranks eighth in the MASCAC in scoring and is tied for seventh in goals and tied for ninth in assists.

Junior defender Brooke Pacheco (Bristol, R.I.) was chosen as the team's representative on the inaugural MASCAC All-Sportsmanship Team. 

The BSU women's soccer team is presently 6-11-1 on the season.  Seeded fifth in the MASCAC Tournament, the Bears knocked off #4 Salem State University on penalty kicks in quarterfinal round play and will take on top-seeded Worcester State University in semifinal round action on Friday night at seven.
