Women's Soccer Falls to Keene State, 1-0

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. –Freshman forward Brittany Tolla(Sandy Hook, Conn.) tallied the game's only goal as visiting Keene State College downed Bridgewater State University, 1-0, in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday night at Swenson Field.

Keene improves to 12-4-1 on the season as the Owls snapped a modest two-game losing streak.  Bridgewater slips to 6-5-2 on the year.

Tolla broke a scoreless tie in the 58th minute as she knocked home the rebound of a Jessica Berthiaume (Worcester, Mass.) shot which had hit the post. The goal marked Tolla's fourth of the season, while Berthiaume notched her fourth assist and team-leading 22nd point.

Junior goaltender Torrie Crenson (North Salem, N.Y.) made two saves to post her sixth shutout of the season. The Owls held a 14-6 shot advantage as well as an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.

BSU senior netminder Kerry Condon (Whitman, Mass.) played well between the pipes for the Bears as she made eight saves.

The Bears return to action on Friday afternoon when they travel to MCLA for a two o'clock MASCAC match with the Trailblazers.  The Owls head to Little East Conference rival Western Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon to take on the Colonials at four.
