BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Dylan Lynch has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Lynch placed 80th out of a field of 315 harriers at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend. The East Taunton, Massachusetts product covered the eight-kilometer layout in a time of 27:26.

The season continues for the BSU men's cross country team on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the 49th Annual Codfish Bowl held at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
