BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Joseph Keough has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Keough was the Bears' top runner at the 48th Codfish Bowl held at Franklin Park in Dorchester this past weekend. The Walpole, Massachusetts product covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 27:25 as he placed 16th out of a field of 162 runners.

As a squad, Bridgewater State placed fourth out of 16 team entries at the meet.

After a week off, the Bears will compete at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday, October 8th.
