BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Joseph Keough has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Keough placed 137th out of a field of 380 harriers at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Men's Cross Country Championships held this past weekend at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut. The Walpole, Massachusetts product covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 21:15.7 as he was the top MASCAC rookie at the meet.

Keough helped the BSU men's cross country team finish 22nd overall (out of 40) in the team standings.
