Men's Cross Country Places 18th at Conn. College Invitational

WATERFORD, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State University men's cross country team placed 18th at the Connecticut College Invitational held on Saturday at Harkness Memorial State Park.

Senior Mark Waller (Andover, Mass.) was the Bears' top runner as he completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 27:05.7 to finish 90th out of a field of 295 runners. Junior Justin Lucier (Attleboro, Mass.) crossed the line in 27:21.5 to place 112th overall, while freshman Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) rounded out BSU's top three harriers with a time of 27:38.9 (131st place).

Hart Hornor of Carleton College won the individual title with a time of 24:32.1. MIT placed first in the team standings followed by host Conn. College and Carleton.

After a week off, the Bears will compete at the MASCAC Championships hosted by Worcester State University on October 31st.
