Men's Cross Country Places Second at Tri-State Invitational

LINCOLN, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State University men's cross country team placed second at the Tri-State Invitational hosted by CCRI-Lincoln on Saturday.

Junior Justin Lucier (Attleboro, Mass.) paced the Bears as he finished eighth overall out of a field of 103 runners. Lucier covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 28:08.82.

Senior Mark Waller (Andover, Mass.) and freshman Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) were the next two Bears across the finish line.  Waller finished ninth with a time of 28:16.09, while Keough placed 16th with a time of 28:55.25.

Sophomore Joseph Kisamore (Attleboro, Mass.) also finished in the top twenty as he crossed the line in 29:02.42 to place 20th overall.

Wentworth placed first in the team standings followed by BSU and Roger Williams University, Salve Regina University and Eastern Connecticut State University rounded out the top five.

After a weekend off, the BSU cross country teams will compete at the Connecticut College Invitational on October 17th.
