Men's Cross Country Places 20th at Conn. College Invitational

WATERFORD, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State University men's cross country team placed 20th at the Connecticut College Invitational held on Saturday at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut.

Sophomore Mark Waller (Andover, Mass.) paced the Bears as he completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 27:34 to finish 94th overall out of a field of 248 runners.

Freshman Ben DiNobile (East Greenwich, R.I.) was next across the line for Bridgewater State in 185th place with a time of 29:11. He was followed by sophomore John Whittemore (Canton, Mass.) in 204th place with a time of 29:47.

Rounding out the BSU harriers, freshman Andrew Single (Walpole, Mass.) placed 207th (29:54) and junior Mike Gillis (Norton, Mass.) finished 244th (33:33).

After a week off, the Bears will compete at the MASCAC and New England Alliance Championships hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday, November 2nd.
