Men's Cross Country Places Sixth At Roger Williams Invitational

 

Bristol, R.I. - Junior Dallas O'Brien (Mansfield, Mass.) timed 17:02.09 for 13th place to help lead the Bridgewater State men's cross country team to sixth overall at the Roger Williams Invitational held at Colt State Park this morning.

Franklin Pierce won the meet with 18 points as the Bears tallied 151 points as a team. The 5k course is similar to the one that will host the ECAC Division III Championships on November 9.

Sophomore Mark Waller (Andover, Mass.) added 36th (17:42.54) followed by freshman Ben DiNobile (E. Greenwich, R.I.) and junior John Breault (S. Dartmouth, Mass.) who both placed 42nd (17:55.43) and 44th (17:58.04), respectively.

Freshman Andrew Single (Walpole, Mass.) notched 67th (18:53.87) as sophomore John Whittemore (Canton, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 81st (20:28.12).

Junior Mike Gillis (Norton, MA) rounded out the top seven with 86th (20:28.12).

Next week the Bears will compete at the Eastern Connecticut Invitational.
