BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second straight week and third time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Joshua Moore has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Moore captured top honors in the long jump (22’1.75”/6.75m), and placed second in the triple jump (45’1.75”/13.76m) and third in the javelin (189’8”/57.81m) at the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held this past weekend at Bridgewater State. The Cape May, New Jersey product helped the BSU men's squad win both the MASCAC and New England Alliance titles at the meet.

Moore currently ranks eighth in New England in the javelin and 24th in all of Division III. He is also tenth in New England in the long jump and 11th in the triple jump. His marks in the long jump and triple jump this past weekend were both season-bests.

Next weekend, Moore and other qualifying members of the BSU men's outdoor track & field team will compete at the Division III New England Championships hosted by MIT.
