BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Michael Kotleski has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Kotleski placed third in the 400-meter hurdles  at the MIT Last Chance Qualifier with a time of 56.49 seconds. The Great Barrington, Massachusetts native also ran a leg on the Bears' 4x400-meter relay which placed second at the meet with a school record time of 3:18.15.

The Bears' 4x400 relay squad featuring Kotleski and freshmen Lamont Haynes (Boston, Mass.), Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Olivier Ndikumana (Amherst, Mass.) eclipsed their own previous BSU outdoor mark of  3:19.05 set earlier this season at the Division III New England Championships.

Kotleski finished the 2017 outdoor season ranked 71st in all of Division III in the 400-meter hurdles, while the 4x400 is 64th overall.
