Bears' 4x400 Relay Mark Falls at MIT Last Chance Qualifier

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's 4x400-meter relay squad eclipsed their own school outdoor mark at the season-ending MIT Last Chance Qualifier on Thursday evening.

Freshmen Lamont Haynes (Boston, Mass.), Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Olivier Ndikumana (Amherst, Mass.), and junior Michael Kotleski (Great Barrington, Mass.) teamed up to place second at the meet in the 4x400 with a time of 3:18.15. The foursome broke their previous mark of 3:19.05 set earlier this season at the Division III New England Championships.

Kotleski also finished third in the 400-meter hurdles (56.49), while Haynes placed fourth in the 400-meter dash (48.76).

Junior Cameron Williamson (North Easton, Mass.) checked in with a second place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 46 feet, 6.25 inches (14.18m).

Sophomore Brandon Houle (Cumberland, R.I.) placed second in the javelin with a toss of 171 feet (52.12m) to round out the Bears' performers at the meet.
