WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Qualifying members of the Bridgewater State University men's track & field team competed during the third and final day of the 2017 Division III New England Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Williams College.

Four different Bears garnered All-New England honors as well as one relay on Saturday.

Freshman Lamont Haynes (Boston, Mass.) placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.76 seconds. Haynes was just 3/100 of a second off his school-record time of 48.73 seconds set last weekend at the MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships.

Haynes also earned All-New England accolades in the 4x400-meter relay along with classmates Joshua Higgins (Foxboro, Mass.) and Olivier Ndikumana (Amherst, Mass.), and junior Michael Kotleski (Great Barrington, Mass.). The foursome placed second at the meet with a school-record time of 3:19.85 as they eclipsed their own previous BSU outdoor mark of 3:20.24 set last week.

Kotleski added a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.71 seconds.

Junior Cameron Williamson (North Easton, Mass.) placed sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 45 feet, 11.75 inches (14.01m) while sophomore Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' All-New England performers with an eighth place showing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Keough recorded a career-best time of 9:38.87.

Bridgewater tied for 11th place in the team standings with 23 points.

On Friday, sophomore Jamie Carlson (Maynard, Mass.) earned All-New England honors in the decathlon with an overall score of 5,045 points.

Next weekend, qualifying members of the BSU men's outdoor track & field team will compete at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships also hosted by Williams.
