BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Cameron Williamson has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Williamson placed first in the triple jump at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic this past weekend with a leap of 44 feet, 1.5 inches (13.45m). The Easton, Massachusetts product qualified for the Division III New England Championships and currently ranks 30th in all of Division III in the event.

The MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week honor marks the fifth of Williamson's career and first for the outdoor season.

The season continues for the BSU outdoor track & field teams on Saturday as they travel to AIC for the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
